Amanda Bird, Board Member, The Tower Theatre
6 years experience in music and performing arts sector. Create and distribute outbound communications on behalf of nonprofit Tower Theatre Foundation to inform and collaborate with stakeholders, media and other Central Oregon nonprofits. Support fundraising efforts and education outreach to over 5,000 students in Central Oregon.
Donna Burklo, Board Member, Family Kitchen
Donna Burklo currently serves as the Program Director for Family Kitchen (the community free meal program in downtown Bend), as a Realtor, and as a freelance writer. After many trips to the area over the years, she and her family made Bend their home in 2004. Since that time, she has been involved in local community theater, youth work, taught piano and voice lessons, and served on several community boards. Her background is in marketing, sales and training for the high tech industry, yet motherhood encouraged her to find more flexible schedule options. Over the past 17 years, in addition to her current positions she has held the titles of Book Publisher, Teacher, Marketing Company Owner and Youth Director. Maesie Speer, Board Member, Caldera
Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Maesie Speer is passionate about building inclusive creative spaces. She is currently the Arts Center Programs Manager at the Caldera Arts Center outside Sisters and formerly administered arts and culture initiatives at The Oregon Community Foundation. A life-long performance-maker, Maesie has performed with Hand2Mouth, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Sojourn Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, and Artists Repertory Theatre, among others. Maesie also volunteers as a program committee member with ScaleHouse.
Jaclyn Abslag, Board Member, Redmond Committee for Art in Public Places
Andries Fourie, Board Member, The High Desert Museum
Andries Fourie is Curator of Art and Community Engagement at The High Desert Museum and a former Professor of Art at Willamette University. He has exhibited, taught, lectured and conducted art workshops in South Africa, Canada, Namibia, Kenya, and the United States.
Jasmine Helsley-Barnett, Community Coordinator & Recording Secretary, Arts and Culture Alliance
Jasmine was the owner of JAH Promotions who supported the growing music scene
in Central Oregon since 2011. Jasmine’s major successes include management roles at local music
events/venues including Munch & Music, Clear Summer Nights, Les Schwab Amphitheater.
Jasmine earned a B.S. in Business Management, and brings her administrative, marketing, and grant-
organizing skills to ACA.
